Fireplaces

Nothing provides a room with warming focal point like a fireplace. Fireplaces have long been a major feature in homes and considered the most important purchase for any living room. Styles are available in traditional or contemporary and there's a vast choice of sizes and materials to choose from. Even homes without a chimney can benefit from a fireplace as combined with the latest electric fires or the new range of flueless gas fires, they will provide a striking feature which will be enjoyed for many years.

Natural Stone Fireplaces
Neutral in colour, stone fireplaces will blend into any colour schemes and avoid concerns regarding matching existing furniture. Natural stone fireplace finishes include Limestone, Sandstone and Travertine. Formed over millions of years, natural stone fireplaces are prone to fossils and other natural inclusions such as open veining and pitting caused by air pockets. These features are of no detriment to the fireplaces and is what separates this material from man-made products.

Stone Effect Fireplaces 
Produced from a mixture of natural stone aggregates and crushed minerals bonded together to form a durable material that resembles real stone. Stone effect fireplaces often feature intricate detailing which would be too costly to reproduce in natural stone. Numerous colour finishes and textures are also available.

Marble Fireplaces
Nothing oozes classical charm like a natural marble fireplace. Unique marble veining ensures that every natural marble fireplace is totally unique. Whether combined with a matching back panel or a traditional cast insert, natural marble fireplaces are equally suited to both gas and electric fires. A more recent addition to the fireplace industry has been micro-marble fireplaces. Micro marble is manufactured from crushed natural marble pieces compacted together with a resin and then polished. It has an even consistency in colour and like natural marble is cool to the touch.

Cast Iron Fireplaces
Reproduced to mimic period designs, our cast iron fireplaces are perfect for smaller rooms or used as a decorative feature in bedrooms. Many of these fireplace designs offer beautiful detailing which can be supplied in all black, half polished (where just the design has been highlighted) or full polished which gives the fireplace a striking pewter finish. Several of our designs include a choice of hand painted, tube-line fireplace tiles which give the fireplace a Victorian feel.

Wooden Fireplaces 
Available in a vast array of colours, wooden fireplace mantels are offered in both veneer and solid wood. Lighter finishes include maple, beech and ash and look great combined with darker marble or granite back panels. Darker woods include walnut, mahogany and oak which are available as mantel only or as a complete fireplace package including a marble back panel and hearth. Whichever design you choose will be equally suited to gas or electric fires.
