Design & Sourcing

Winther Browne designs its product ranges in-house, produces prototypes and sources manufacturing partners with modern factories selected for their particular expertise wherever they are in the world.

The company has ISO9001:2000 accreditation and has Chain of Custody Certification for FSC Forestry Stewardship Council approved timber and wood products.

History

Winther Browne is a family owned company founded in 1893 by Mr Winther, a Norwegian dowel manufacturer. Mr Harold Browne joined as a clerk in 1915 and in 1919 bought the company which sourced dowels from many countries for the furniture trade.

Mr Robert Browne started with the company in 1947 and developed business with the DIY, Home Improvement and Builders Supply trade.

They offer a wide range of products ranging from remote controlled wall fires, fireplaces, fire suites and sets, including a mix and match section of hearths, electric and gas fires and back panels for greater flexibility.

Fire suites, sets and surrounds are available in solid timbers, wood veneers, cast iron and real marble.
Available in traditional, modern and contemporary styles at affordable prices.
